Description:

This double-page map presents Belgium and The Netherlands with lithographic colour differentiating the three countries including Gd. Duchy of Luxemburg. Bodies of Water featured include "The North Sea" and "Zuider Zee." Longitudinal and Latitudinal lines are clearly marked on each map with "Longitude East from Greenwich" at the top and "Longitude East from Washington" at the bottom. Transcontinental Submarine Telegraph cable lines are indicated. Map is in English. No compass rose is provided. Map orientation indicates left border facing North. Inset of Brussels is found in upper left corner. Distance scales in "Belgian Leagues," "Netherland Metrical Miles and French Kilometres" and "English Statute Miles" are found in lower left corner just below the map title. Major cities, towns, rivers and geographic terrain are identified. Details of "Belgium" and "The Netherlands" are found on the verso of pages 94 and 95.
