Description:

This is a leaf from a medieval manuscript Bible; Paris, France, mid 13th century, in Latin and on Vellum (90x140mm). There are forty-six lines of double column minuscule Gothic scripts with Book Headings, Chapter Numbers and versal initials in red. There is a six-line capital "U"; with a top extender of eight lines. Inside the cavity of the initial is scroll work and with two heads which resembles hounds, the initial is in pale red, deep blue and silver (oxidized) and a highly burnished gold highlighting. In the left margin a large "I" is in blue and red pen work with dragons that extend to both the bottom and the top of the leaf. Verso: forty-six lines of double column minuscule Gothic script. Condition of this leaf is Fine [F].
