This double-page map presents Italy with lithographic colour highlighting its borders in yellow lines. Longitudinal and Latitudinal lines are clearly marked on each map with "Longitude East From Greenwich" at the top and "Longitude East from Washington" at the bottom. Bodies of Water featured include The Mediterranean Sea, Adriatic Sea, Tyrrhenian Sea, Gallican Sea, Ligurian Sea, Ionian Sea and Sicilian Sea. The region og Apulia extends beyond the map border. Transcontinental Submarine Telegraph cable lines and Ferry /shipping lines are indicated. Map is in English. No compass rose is provided. Map orientation indicates the left border facing North. Distance scales in "Austrian Statute Miles," "French Kilometres" and "English Statute Miles" are found in upper right corner just below the map title. Major cities, towns, rivers and geographic terrain are identified. Details of "Denmark" and "Italy" are found on the verso of pages 66 and 67.
