Artist Biography:

Johann Andreas Naumann [1747–1826] was born near Kőthen . His first edition of the Natural History of Central European Birds appeared of four volumes with eight additional supplements. His son Johann Friedrich Naumann issued a second edition with copious additions in thirteen editions and the third and final edition or third edition was published in twelve volumes under the editorship of Dr. Hennicke.
