The text is in Gothic script with brown ink and the commentary is in Textura script with black ink. Each sentence begins with what is known as "sentence markings" (also known as text blocks) alternating in blue and red ink; such markings are found within the text and commentary. There is one four line initial "O" beginning the commentary; in filled with a zoomorphic creature on a rectangular ground of heavily embossed gold and blue and pink ink with ascender and decender terminating in floral. Another four line initial "O" Begins the text and is in filled with a checkerboard pattern of embossed gold and red and white pen work on a rectangular ground of pink with white tendrils and a descender of flowers. Verso: forty lines of text and eighty lines of commentary including later annotations with page numbers at the top of the page. Two large four line initials "E" on rectangular grounds in filled with embossed gold and floral designs with two running out blooms terminating in embossed gold acorns. Both sides of the leaf have corrections made most likely by the original scribe. Condition is almost fine [F-] due to some minor vellum cockling otherwise a magnificent example of late medieval handwriting and art.
