This double-page map presents the State of Massachusetts with lithographic colour differentiating the various geographical regions within. Bodies of Water featured include "Atlantic Ocean," "Cape Cod Bay" and "Nantucket Sound." Longitudinal and Latitudinal lines are clearly marked on each map with "Longitude West from Greenwich" at the top and "Longitude East from Washington" at the bottom. Inset of "Vicinity of Boston," along with inset of "Boston Harbor" are found in lower left corner. "Barnstable" and "Nantucket" extend beyond the right side border. Map is in English. No compass rose is provided. Map orientation indicates North at the top. Distance scale in "Statute Miles" is found in bottom centre. Major cities, towns, rivers and geographic terrain are identified. Details of "Massachusetts" are found on the verso on pages 251 and 254.
