Description:

A printed leaf on hand made watermarked paper from an Ecclesiastical Benedictional, in Latin, with stenciled four lines to the stave and notes reflecting Gorgerin chant, the borders are hand drawn in black (195 x 150 mm.). This tome was printed by N Konstanz for the dioceses of Constantinople in 1597. There are three staves consisting of four lines each in red with musical notations in black ink. Headings and capitals are in red with a woodblock initial “F”. This particular leaf contains the music for The Mass that is celebrated on Palm Sunday. Verso: four staves consisting of five lines each in red with musical notations in black ink. Condition of this leaf is fine [F].
