This is a leaf from a medieval manuscript Bible; Paris, France - circa 1240; in Latin and on Vellum (190xl40mm). There are fifty lines of double Gothic script, Book Headings, Chapter Numbers. A large six- capital "U" is in a brilliant burnished gold background and scribed in blues, white and pink. Inside the cavity of the initial is a geometric design. Versal initials alternate in blue and red with contrasting pen work. The Opening to the Book of Ecclesiastes: "On the vanity of human wisdom". Verso: fifty lines of double Gothic script, Book Headings, Chapter Numbers This is a scarce leaf and will be appreciated by all. Condition of this leaf is fine [F].
